There can be many reasons that a business doesn&#8217;t make a profit at first.  It seems that client&#8217;s intent is to be successful.  I wouldn&#8217;t dismiss it just because it isn&#8217;t profitable in year two.  </p>

When I worked for NYS, it was generally the difference in the (employer portion) of health insurance premiums of a single plan and a family plan, due to the additional coverage of a domestic partner.</p>

I can see the response to the notice (with the date the fax was received by NYS) in my client&#8217;s online account with NYS tax.  The request, in my experience over the past few years, generally holds up a refund by 10-12 weeks. </p>

In my experience, they would receive both.  The PO is a promise to pay, just as William said.  (Gov&#8217;t entities also tend to ignore reporting rules, just as Emmet said!) 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have filed someone as unmarried for tax purposes with a decree of separate maintenance, which is slightly different that a simple separation agreement. They actually still lived in the same house. Awkward!  The decree was a court-filed petition.  </p>
