He asked me to prepare the return however I found out they never took depreciation for the last 12 years.  I believe you need to recapture it, but what happens to the deduction he missed out on? Even for my own company I am not 100% I am handling the states correctly. We have Sharholders of our firm living in NY and CT and Sharholders and Employees working in both NY and from my home In CT.</p>
